The Major of Jinkston has -- decided to allow us to depart. My understanding is that the ship was almost completely repaired however. Apparently they have a better culprit now, for all I believe they have made a miscalculation. We will begin conducting an investigation to locate this 'sky fortress'.
Boatsw- Zeetha and Mister Garibaldi will begin a head count. Ranulf, please conduct your duties and then please begin searching for any clues that might betray an origin for these people.
Everyone else, please remain below deck until we are prepared to leave. As soon as we have collected all of the information we can, I believe it would serve us best to leave this place and not return.

It seems that I have made a slight miscalculation...
In an attempt at creating good will between us and the town's people, I invited several onboard in order to dispel the notion that we were concealing the fleece, however, they have now ... disabled some portion of the engine. I would appreciate it if ... the mechanics return to the engine room and do their best to repair the engine. Unfortunately, it seems as though the Way is not going anywhere for a while, and there is something of a fog moving in.
I continue to stand behind the crew ... please do not prove me wrong.

It has just come to my attention that a precious fleece, apparently golden in color, has been stolen from the mayor's office. It was on display there and disappeared sometime in the evening to late night. I understand that we are a theater ship and known for our extravagance and we have an exceptionally colorful history, however, I hope that none of the crew has taken that as an excuse to attempt to abscond with something so valuable.
That sort of behavior will not be tolerated.
If any member or members of the crew are responsible for this, I urge you to immediately come clean to me so we may make amends, or at least we will attempt to return it in the manner it was taken. If no one on board is responsible, we must clear our name, and quickly. I do not want the name 'Winding Way' to become synonymous with petty thieves. |

I have heard rumors that an old friend of ours - Finneas Magentabeard - has been making camp in a smaller town in the Badlands, Jinkston. I do not know if he will anticipate our arrival, but I have made inquires with the authorities of both Ivona and the Badlands, through Joseph Falls, and there is a substantial reward for his capture from either.
I believe it is time we take our repayment for the damages to the ship. I know we have never been a vessel of war, however, we do have the capacity to achieve victory with careful planning. We will require the full assistance of our officers and strategists and all other positions. Please be on your guard.
After our long stay and the disasters in Tulgim, I believe we will need the chance to stretch our legs. I have been looking for venues to put on our next play as well. If anyone knows a location that would like to be entertained by the best playship in Reial, I look forward to the information.
[ooc: sorry I've been a little fail lately! Everyone who's poked me knows I've been trying to balance work and gaming and have found myself wanting lately. I'll be trying to get out there a little more in the future and we'll have a new plot for Jinkston in the works and then a little 'free-play' after that, or maybe another plot!

In celebration of Lunasa this year, I have arranged for a celebration of the family of the Winding Way. It will take place in the early afternoon and go throughout the night for anyone who is interested. Although I greatly appreciate the efforts and work of the cooking staff, in an effort to allow them a celebration as well, the party will be catered and I have also hired several musicians in order to make the celebration memorable.
There will also be a great deal of cake.
I have also extended an invitation to the captain of the Fiertia and invited his crew to our celebration. My understanding is that several of you have made acquaintances on this ship recently.
Additionally, I have returned from my vacation and will be available in my office if anyone requires me. I hope that there have not been too many troubles.

We'll have an event that will probably be running (oocly) simultaneously. It is taking place after Lunasa though, so do not make many posts that take place beyond the next day until that plot is nailed down. Sorry for all the delays. I have looked over the books and I have decided we will be attending the races in order to perform, entertain and offer refreshments. We will be concentrating on the operation of Gunsmoke and street vending. If it appears that we have the audience and it does not interfere with the preexisting musical performances, we will be putting on a rendition of the Steel Samurai.
If anyone has any additional suggestions, I would be happy to hear them.
I would like to have a craft entered to represent our ship.

I was injured in a recent attack on the ship. I apologize for not being in touch. The time to reflect has left me conflicted.
Have I been too focused here, on the ship? It is hard for me to say. I feel as though I am no longer objective on this matter. It is likely best that I remove myself, however I have found--- something here. I cannot even truly say what it is yet, but I do not think I will find it again, and it bears exploring.
There is so much for me to do here. You taught us to change the world. I believe that is what I am doing here. I will continue to do my work with you, but I have placed myself somewhere where I am now in the middle of things, rather than above them. The perspective change is different. I do not yet know if it is optimal. |

I apologize for my absence during the attack. The work you have accomplished and your ability to defend the ship was good. I have spoken to the mechanics, blacksmiths and shipwrights and I believe we will be able to repair the ship sufficiently to make it to Bydan. We will need several further repairs afterward, however. I believe it is safe to say that we will be in Bydan for a long time.
The stage was extensively damaged during the attack by both the puppet master and some of our crew repelling intruders. Although it is not necessary for the functionality of the ship, I would appreciate it if this was made the first prioirty for repairs. We will require it to earn money in order to defray the cost of the repairs.
To that end, while in Kropmork, I procured the rights to the several short plays. These will hopefully be sufficient to bring in Bydan crowds for entertainment and refreshments.
I have also discovered that Finneas Magentabeard is currently the target of a lucrative bounty on his head by both the Ivonian and Garrettstown governments. I believe it is only fitting that Captain Magentabeard also contribute to defraying the costs of the ship's damages.

We will be leaving Kropmork now and heading towards Claiborne in order to provide assistance with some of the money we have earned from selling the candy we have collected.
Hopefully none of you have over-indulged to the point of being unable to participate in your work.

I do not believe I will ever indulge in alcoholic beverages again. My previous stance of abstinence has only been enhanced by my decreased mental capacity and continued headache.
I have referenced the meanings of the flower Vash has given me repeatedly. Peach blossoms, meaning 'I am your captive' seem quite literal. The candies were an odd assortment; almonds for hope, alyssum for worth beyond beauty, pink camellias are longing, four-leaf clover is be mine, gladiolus for readiness and sincerity, mistletoe is surmounted difficulties and affection ... and a moss rosebud is a confession of love.
Although some of these meanings can be metaphorical, many of them are without connotations other than the literal: love and longing. My own gift was made based solely on the flavor of candies that remained the day before Amicus. However, if Vash put thought into the meaning of these -- He would not send items with such meanings after our discussion.
I am left with a possible conclusion, and that is that it is the rest of the crew who has the right idea, and I am the one who did not understand the nature of Vash's affections for me.
I do not like having been wrong. I am left, however, still not understanding the nature of my own relationship with Vash. He has become very important to me. It has come to the point where I would find it painful to leave him when I must return to my other work.
He deserves to know that much. |

Given the time of year, and the number of people under the age of majority, Vash and I have determined that it would be advantageous to have discussions and presentations on the topic of sex in order to avoid any mishaps.
Such conversations are often more comforting from a female perspective, and I must confess that I would not be a wise choice to deliver such talks, despite my position of Captain. |

It is sometimes difficult to believe the sorts of programs one country or the other will engage in to gain military supremacy. The Doma poison was definitely the Black NAT, and the individual who procured it has been caught. Selling such a deadly toxin for nothing more than profit speaks to a sick disposition.
I have dispatched A to Boston, he will continue to track the path of the poison and see if further details can be determined.
I will continue to work on this as further information presents itself. |
